The Ohio River flows from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to the Mississippi River at Cairo, Illinois, a distance of 981 miles. The team patrols and responds to any incident along the Boone and Kenton County borders. (approximately 60 miles total) This is “bank to bank” and includes Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio sides. Though this is a relatively small area, it is heavily traveled by both recreational boats and barges.

We also cover numerous tributaries and spill ways.  These include portions of the Licking River, creeks, private farm ponds, commercial properties, and  lakes such as Camp Ernst, Boltz, and Prisoner’s (Devou Park).
